IT Support Team Leader - Onsite or Hybrid in Germany

The position is based onsite or hybrid in Germany in the Düsseldorf and Cologne area.

Our client is seeking an IT Support Team Leader to join their Managed Service division. In this hands‑on technical leadership role, you will guide local project teams, enforce strict IT security compliance, manage in‑country IT assets, and oversee end‑user and infrastructure rollouts. You will work closely with global engineering teams, local authorities, and third‑party vendors to drive project goals and achieve key performance indicators.

It is an Onsite / Hybrid Technical Leadership role.

Key responsibilities:

• Leading, monitoring, and accounting for all technical tasks assigned to the local project team
• Executing and coordinating end-user and infrastructure project implementations to ensure timely delivery
• Managing in-country IT assets and supervising tracking tools for ongoing project initiatives
• Serving as the primary contact for local authorities, third‑party vendors, and global project groups
• Fulfilling assigned deliverables, generating progress reports, and achieving agreed‑upon KPIs
• Enforcing robust IT security standards and compliance across client infrastructure systems
• Maintaining accurate project recording tools and reporting status updates to key stakeholders

To be a good fit for the IT Support Team Leader role, you will have:

• 3 to 5 years of proven experience in IT leadership, project coordination, or senior technical support.
• Proven ability to manage project teams, monitor deliverables, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Experience maintaining project tracking tools, meeting client KPIs, and enforcing IT security policies.
• Strong understanding of country‑level asset management, infrastructure deployment, and vendor coordination.
• Ability to align with global cross‑functional teams, external providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Fluent German and English (minimum B2 level, both spoken and written).

Nice to have:

• Experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) model
• Familiarity with local regulatory reporting and authority compliance in Germany
• Ability to translate complex project metrics into clear documentation for non‑technical leadership
