This role will be a hybrid working opportunity, based in Cologne, Germany.
As the Junior Commercial Manager, you will report into the Commercial Manager.
To support the continued growth of the passenger business in Germany and across Europe, we are seeking a Junior Commercial Manager to join the Commercial Team in Cologne. In this role, you will support leasing activities for both the existing passenger fleet and new-build projects, working closely with colleagues across Commercial, Technical, and Finance functions.
Contribute to the development and expansion of the passenger business in Germany and wider European markets by supporting leasing activities for existing fleet and new-build projects. This includes offer preparation, commercial analysis, and coordination with technical and finance teams.
Conduct structured research on European passenger rail markets, including regulatory developments, funding programmes, and rolling stock financing structures, to support strategic decision-making.
Analyse tender specifications, prepare commercial inputs, and support the development of high-quality bid documentation. Take ownership of defined workstreams within tender processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, suppliers, advisors, and internal stakeholders to support successful project execution and ongoing account management.
Support internal approval processes and reporting requirements, ensuring adherence to internal policies and decision-making frameworks.
Contribute ideas to enhance product offerings, commercial processes, and operational procedures, strengthening competitiveness and delivering greater customer value.
