Junior Credit Analyst / Credit Assessment

Cologne, Germany (Hybrid – 2 days remote)

Up to €63k + bonus + excellent benefits

We are currently supporting a leading international financial services business in Germany that is looking to hire a Junior Credit Assessment Specialist to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with 1–3 years of experience in:

• Credit analysis
• Lending / financing assessment
• Financial statement analysis
• Leasing or banking operations
• Risk assessment or underwriting support

Key responsibilities

• Reviewing and assessing incoming credit applications
• Analysing balance sheets, financial statements and creditworthiness
• Supporting lending and financing decisions
• Identifying credit, fraud and compliance risks
• Reviewing financing documentation and securities
• Working closely with internal risk and operations teams

Ideal profile

• 0–3 years experience or interest in credit, finance, leasing or risk
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Experience analysing financial statements / KPIs
• Good technical understanding and affinity for systems/processes
• Experience with VBA, automation or process improvement is a plus
