Junior Credit Decisions Analyst (m/w/d)

As part of our Credit Decision Team, you will be responsible for the credit assessment of new and existing customers applying for Merchant Cash Advances (MCAs). You will process applications from thousands of German and Danish businesses coming through our global partners.

Key Responsibilities

• In-depth Analysis: You assess repayment capacity and risk profiles by analyzing financial data, financial statements, and revenue/payment data.
• Structuring: You decide on the terms of financing offers (amount, duration, price), balancing risk with growth.
• Risk & Compliance: Using state-of-the-art third-party systems, you manage KYC checks as well as onboarding and compliance risks.
• Process Optimization: You work closely with other teams to continuously improve our risk engine and internal workflows.

Skills & Expertise

• Analytical Focus: You enjoy working with data and possess high attention to detail.
• Experience: Initial professional experience (e.g. through employment, internships or relevant practical exposure) in underwriting or finance is an advantage. We also welcome candidates with a strong analytical background and transferable experience.
• Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Excel is a prerequisite.
• Hands-on Mentality: Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks effectively, and meet agreed deadlines in a dynamic operational environment.
• Languages: German (at least B2) and English language skills are required, as the role involves regular communication with German-speaking customers, partners, and internal as well as international teams.

Nice to Have

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as experience handling large datasets (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
• Experience in the field of SME financing in Germany, ideally with Cash Advances.
