Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Java Developer with 2–5 years of backend development experience to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, develop, optimize, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and modern development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
• Design, build, and integrate RESTful APIs for internal and external systems
• Refactor and optimize existing code for performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and Product teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and production issues
• Write clear documentation for code, system architecture, and development workflows
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum development processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional experience in Java backend development
• Strong knowledge of Java, OOP concepts, and design patterns
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Proficiency with Git, GitHub/GitLab, and version control workflows
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum methodologies

Preferred (Good to Have)

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment tools
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito
