Laboratory Technician for R&D of Home Appliances (m/w/d)

Your responsibilities

Position Overview:

For our R&D Center of Midea Europe in Stuttgart, we are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Washing Machines Testing Laboratory within the Home Appliance sector. In this role, you will be responsible for executing standardized product tests, documenting results, and supporting quality assurance activities. The position focuses on the reliable execution of defined testing procedures , not on the development of new test methods. The ideal candidate is skilled in performing routine laboratory-based technical tasks such as sampling, testing, and recording results, and enjoys hands-on work in a structured environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct Product Testing: Execute standardized tests on home appliances (especially washing machines) during development and pre-market phases
• Follow Test Procedures: Strictly adhere to defined testing protocols and instructions to ensure reliable and reproducible results
• Maintain Equipment: Support the maintenance, calibration, and proper setup of laboratory and measurement equipment
• Document Results: Accurately record and report test data in accordance with internal standards
• Collaborate with Team: Work closely with the local Laundry Care R&D team
• Inspect Products: Perform functional and performance checks on products and prototypes

Your profile

• Completed vocational training in a technical or scientific field (e.g., CTA, MTA, electronics technician, mechatronics technician, or similar)
• Graduates of vocational training programs who are eager to learn, structured and reliable in their work, hands-on, and quick to understand new tasks are highly encouraged to apply
• First experience in testing, laboratory work, or technical environments is a plus
• Basic technical or scientific understanding
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Fluent in German and English
