Lead Master Data Management | Global Product Data & AI Enablement | Munich | Hybrid

A global, fast-scaling organization at the intersection of digital commerce, data, & AI innovation is looking for an experienced Master Data Management (MDM) Lead to take ownership of end-to-end MDM coordination across multiple data domains, with a strong focus on harmonizing & scaling global product master data . This role is central to building a single, trusted, & AI-ready product data foundation that enables superior customer experiences and powers next-generation AI and agentic commerce capabilities.

The Role:

In this position, you will lead the evolution of a holistic MDM framework across people, processes, data, and technology . Your work will ensure consistent global standards, high data quality, and robust governance, while unlocking the full value of product data across markets.

A key focus will be the enrichment, standardization, and scalability of product master data , enabling faster deployment of AI-driven use cases, improved data usability, and seamless collaboration between business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate global MDM initiatives across multiple data domains, establishing a consistent governance and operating model
• Drive the global harmonization of product master data through the definition and implementation of standards, taxonomies, and data models
• Enable enrichment and structuring of product master data to support AI use cases, agentic commerce, and enhanced customer experiences
• Champion the adoption of AI tools and methods for the creation, classification, and maintenance of master data
• Partner closely with Technology teams to define architecture and oversee implementation of MDM platforms and data flows
• Align stakeholders across Category Management, Digital, Product, and country organizations to ensure adoption of standards and processes
• Integrate MDM across people, processes, data, and technology to build a scalable and future-ready data ecosystem

Your Profile:

• Proven experience in Master Data Management leadership, ideally in global or multi-market environments
• Strong expertise in product master data, including data modeling, harmonization, and governance
• Solid understanding of AI/ML applications in data management, automation, and data enrichment
• Experience working closely with IT teams on system architecture and MDM platform implementations
• Strong ability to bridge business and technical perspectives and drive cross-functional alignment
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and change management skills
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-oriented mindset and a strong passion for data and AI-driven transformation
