Lead Pre-Registration Pre-Certification Specialist

Stellenbeschreibung:

Support the supervisor with identifying patients who qualify for pre-registration, including all new patients and return patients
Serve as a resource and provide staff training in collaboration with the supervisor
Assist staff in obtaining proper identification and ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information
Enter patient information into the registration system
Assist staff daily with RTE technology in EPIC-related issues
Assist with new-hire orientation and continued training for pre-registration/pre-certification specialists
Advise specialists on pre-certification and pre-registration escalations and problem solutions
Escalate RTE technology issues through Experian via HIT tickets to ensure accurate eligibility responses
Add and identify complex coverage issues
Work Work Queues when staff are on PTO or absent, as needed
Assist the supervisor with the Daily Call Log
Assign accounts when the Pre-Registration Supervisor is out
Maintain the real-time authorization database
Work on the Virtual Registration Admin Work Queue

Requirements

High School Graduate or GED
3 or more years of experience admitting/patient registration, pre-registration & pre-certification, or patient accounting experience
2 or more years of customer service experience
Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and/or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department
Preferred: 4 or more years of experience working in Epic
