Lead Substation Protection and Controls Engineer

We are in search of a Lead Substation Protection and Control Engineer to join our diverse and fast-paced Substation Engineering organization at Leidos.

WORK SCHEDULE

• Hybrid: (1-3) days a week on site at our client’s office in Allentown, PA.
• Remote: (2-4) days a week – work from where you are.
• Qualified candidates MUST be located near the Allentown, PA area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as a key contributor to substation protection and control design projects.
• Lead, mentor and grow a diverse team of engineers, designers and drafters.
• Take complete ownership of each project, including management of financials, resources and design.
• Liaison, lead, coordinate and collaborate with external clients.
• Continually improve and maximize project quality.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients.
• Contribute to the definition of design scope, philosophies and methodologies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Eight (8+) years of direct experience in substation protection and control design.
• Ability to lead substation design projects by aligning engineering execution with program management.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience leading a project team.
• Experience in substation physical design.
• Field testing and commissioning experience.

PAY RANGES

Pay range: $107,900.00 – $195,050.00. This figure is a guideline only and may vary based on responsibilities, experience, market data and other factors.
