Legal Counsel Enterprise Contracting EMEA (m/f/x)

In this role you advise on commercial contracts across the EMEA region, supporting business objectives with practical legal guidance. You will draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements and drive contracting excellence while backing digital transformation and AI-enabled contracting solutions. You collaborate with cross-border teams to standardize templates and processes, and you help scale legal operations through automation and training. • Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial agreements across EMEA (e.g., Master Services, Healthcare Professional/Organization, Patient, and CDA contracts)
• Provide practical, risk-based legal advice aligned with business objectives and compliance
• Partner with internal stakeholders through the contract lifecycle
• Develop and maintain standardized templates, playbooks, and processes to improve efficiency
• Deliver training on contracting topics and best practices
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and legal innovation
• Support implementation of Contract Lifecycle Management tools and AI-enabled contracting solutions
• Collaborate with legal and business partners across multiple countries and cultures in the EMEA region

• Qualified lawyer with practice eligibility in an EMEA jurisdiction
• 3–5 years post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm and/or international corporate environment
• Strong experience in commercial contracting, contract drafting, and negotiations
• Fluency in German and English; additional EMEA languages advantageous
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to balance legal risk with commercial priorities and provide actionable advice
• Experience across jurisdictions and multicultural environments
• Interest in legal technology, automation, AI, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology/healthcare/life sciences industry
• Exposure to legal operations, legal engineering, process optimization, or design thinking
• Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management systems and digital contracting solutions
