Your contribution to Prysmian's Success

The Maintenance & CapEx Automation Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance and capital expenditure projects.

In this role you will:

  • Planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance or capital investment projects using internal or external personnel
  • Development, implementation, and enhancement of modern automation solutions for new and existing systems in close cooperation with suppliers, including independent project planning for hardware and software
  • Preparation of technical documentation for the procurement and installation of new machinery and equipment as well as for maintenance activities, including supervision of execution
  • Technical support for workshop team leaders, particularly regarding the execution methods for work orders
  • Determination of required spare parts inventory
  • Technical support in the creation and optimization of maintenance schedules

You are the right fit if you have/are:

  • Degree in a technical field or technical vocational training with relevant further education, or equivalent qualifications acquired through other means
  • Several years of professional experience in quality management within an industrial environment desirable
  • Knowledge of FMEA, audit management, and complaint handling
  • Experience with quality methods such as 8D, Ishikawa, 5-Why, SPC, or Six Sigma is an advantage
  • Knowledge of relevant norms and standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style
  • Strong sense of responsibility and assertiveness
  • Confident demeanor when dealing with customers, suppliers, and internal interfaces
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Fluent in German and English

Der Maintenance & CapEx Automation Engineer (m/w/d) unterstützt bei der Planung, Koordination und Durchführung von Instandhaltungs- und Investitionsprojekten.

In dieser Funktion werden Sie:

  • Planung, Koordination und Durchführung von Instandhaltungs- oder Investitionsprojekten mit internem oder externem Personal
  • Entwicklung, Implementierung und Weiterentwicklung moderner Automatisierungslösungen für Neu- und Bestandsanlagen in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Lieferanten sowie eigenverantwortliche Projektierung von Hard- und Software
  • Erstellung der technischen Unterlagen für die Beschaffung und Installation neuer Maschinen und Anlagen sowie für Instandhaltungsmaßnahmen inkl. der Überwachung der Ausführung
  • Fachliche Unterstützung der Teamleiter der Werkstatt, vor allem in Bezug auf die Art der Ausführung von Aufträgen
  • Festlegen vorzuhaltender Ersatzteile
  • Fachliche Unterstützung bei der Erstellung und Optimierung von Wartungsplänen

Sie sind der richtige Kandidat, wenn Sie folgende Voraussetzungen erfüllen:

  • Completed university degree (preferably in automation technology or a related field)
  • Systematic and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Proficiency in specialized software (Siemens TIA)
  • Strong technical understanding of machinery and associated processes
  • Ability to assert oneself effectively and work well in a team
  • Fluent German and English both written and spoken
  • Several years of professional experience in industrial maintenance or special-purpose machine manufacturing desirable
