What Drives Success
- Under general direction, perform general preventative maintenance and simple repairs on manufacturing machines and mechanical equipment.
- Perform maintenance service and repairs; repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical problems, determine corrective actions, and consult blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
- Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions following checklists.
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
- Provide work leadership for lower‑level maintenance mechanics through assignment of work.
- Provide technical guidance and review of assignment progress.
- May involve repair of electrical systems.
What We Are Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 8 years of related experience.
- May require a journeyman’s card or equivalent; may also require a technical diploma or equivalent.
- Expert knowledge of machines and tools, including design, repair, and maintenance.
- Expert knowledge of materials, methods, and tools for construction or repair of buildings.
- Expert knowledge of design techniques, tools, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Strong analytical skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
- May require some electrical knowledge.
- Must be able to move items weighing up to 50 lb.
- Able to provide training and work leadership.
What We Offer
Compensation: This is an hourly non‑exempt role. The starting pay range is $38.35 per hour, and may vary by geography, skill, education, experience, and qualifications. Employees are also eligible for overtime when working over 40 hours in a week, or as required by state law.
