Manager Corporate Tax & Tax Reporting

In this role you drive German and international direct tax compliance and reporting within the global ISS STOXX Tax Function. You collaborate with senior stakeholders across Finance, Legal, and Treasury to own tax filings, accounting, and risk management for the German entity. You will influence tax governance, IFRS/HGB reporting, and Pillar Two initiatives in a dynamic, cross-border environment. • Own corporate income tax compliance for German group entities
• Coordinate preparation and review of Körperschaftsteuer and Gewerbesteuer returns and other German direct tax filings
• Review tax assessments, manage tax notices and cash tax planning
• Coordinate external tax advisors and ensure timely, high-quality compliance
• Monitor legislative changes and adapt tax compliance and reporting accordingly
• Manage tax accounting and reporting under IFRS and HGB (IAS 12, IAS 34)
• Support quarterly/annual financial statement processes for tax positions
• Lead tax forecasting and ETR analysis; assist tax-driven planning
• Participate in OECD Pillar Two calculations and reporting
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors on tax matters
• Drive continuous improvements in tax reporting controls and processes
• Support tax audits and coordinate responses with authorities and advisors
• Contribute to M&A tax aspects and cross-border projects
• Identify opportunities to automate and AI-enhance tax processes with digital tools
• Collaborate with global tax team and train internal stakeholders
• Act as trusted advisor to business on tax implications of strategic decisions

• Degree in Business Admin, Economics, Law, Taxation, Finance, or comparable field
• German tax advisor qualification (Steuerberaterexamen)
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Big 4, international tax advisory, or in-house tax
• Strong knowledge of German tax law (corporate and trade tax)
• Experience with IFRS/HGB tax accounting (IAS 12) and tax reporting
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable
• Exposure to Pillar Two is advantageous
