Manager (m/f/d) – Environment, Safety, Health (ESH) & Emergency Response (ER)

For our future fab in Dresden, we are looking for a highly motivated and committed Manager (m/f/d) – Environment, Safety, Health (ESH) & Emergency Response (ER).

In this leadership role, you will be primarily accountable for Environment, Safety, and Health (ESH) as well as emergency response affairs at our Dresden Fab. You will bridge the gap between global corporate standards and local German excellence, ensuring that our operational processes continue to set the benchmark for compliance and risk mitigation.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead a high‑performing ESH/ERC team, fostering a culture of ownership and safety leadership.
• Develop and implement robust management systems that align corporate global policies with the specific operational needs of the Dresden Fab.
• Translate complex EU, German Federal, and Saxony State regulations into actionable site standards.
• Serve as a key diplomat and technical expert in communications with government entities, international customers, and corporate stakeholders.
• Oversee comprehensive audit programs to identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring we exceed legal and internal requirements.
• Lead emergency response planning and fire prevention strategies to prepare the site for any scenario.
• Champion a lessons‑learned culture by analyzing near‑misses and incidents to implement preventative actions.

Job Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related engineering field.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years in ESH/ERC roles with a proven leadership track record.
• Industry Background: Experience in the semiconductor industry, high‑tech manufacturing, or a large‑scale international environment is highly preferred.
• Certifications: Occupational Safety Expert (Sifa) or Safety Manager (BG, TÜV) certification. Additional certifications in Fire Protection or Industrial Hygiene are a significant advantage.
• Regulatory Expertise: Deep familiarity with German ESH and fire codes. Knowledge of global standards (FM Global, NFPA) and proficiency in ISO 14001/45001 is expected.
• Soft Skills: Strategic thinker, skilled negotiator, resilient problem‑solver adaptable to fast‑paced demands of major construction and start‑up projects.
• Communication: German (C1/Native) essential; English (B2/C1) required; Mandarin a plus.
