Manager, Supply Chain Consulting (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, cost drivers, and risks across procurement, logistics, planning, manufacturing, and distribution to address performance issues.
• Shape operating models, network footprints, inventory strategies, and supplier portfolios that align with clients' commercial goals.
• Reduce supply‑chain costs, optimise inventory levels, and improve cash conversion to improve cost and working capital.
• Lead or contribute to large‑scale change initiatives, from restructuring supply networks to integrating acquisitions.
• Work closely with procurement teams, operations leaders, finance, and external suppliers to ensure recommendations are adopted.
• Help organisations prepare for disruptions, diversify suppliers, and build more robust operating models, enhancing risk and resilience planning.
• Streamline workflows, implement best‑practice planning methods, and support the adoption of digital tools such as ERP, S&OP/IBP platforms, or advanced analytics.

Requirements

• Strong academic background, including a Master’s or PhD, with extensive experience in supply‑chain consulting or project management.
• Prior experience managing multiple projects and staff on client sites, while assuming cost and implementation responsibility.
• Proven consulting toolkit, including financial analysis and stakeholder management, with presentation preparation and delivery skills.
• Industry experience is advantageous.
• Well‑developed team‑management and coaching skills, even in urgent situations, combined with excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Native or business‑fluent German and English (C1) essential; additional European languages such as French or Spanish are advantageous.
• Open to working on client sites both within Germany and across the EU and internationally.
