Manufacturing Design Engineering Manager (f/m/d)

In this role, you guide a multidisciplinary team to deliver manufacturing excellence for semiconductor capital equipment. You’ll collaborate with R&D, Operations, Quality, and Customer Support to improve product quality, yield, and delivery performance. You’ll lead root cause investigations, drive continuous improvement, and support NPI and product transfers. • Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team of Manufacturing Design Engineers
• Own technical support for manufacturing operations and rapid resolution of complex issues
• Drive structured root cause investigations for manufacturing, supplier, field, and customer issues
• Improve product quality, yield, on-time delivery, and efficiency via data-driven improvements
• Lead manufacturing readiness for New Product Introduction (NPI) and transfers into production
• Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Support for product lifecycle execution
• Support supplier qualification, First Article Inspections (FAI), process validations, and issue resolution
• Develop and standardize troubleshooting methodologies and engineering best practices
• Mentor and develop technical talent to build organizational capability
• Communicate project status, risks, and KPIs to senior leadership and stakeholders

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline
• Several years of experience in engineering, manufacturing engineering, or product engineering
• Previous people leadership experience with coaching and developing teams
• Strong understanding of integrated electro-optical, mechanical, electronic, motion-control, and software systems
• Proven experience with technical problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Experience with NPI programs, manufacturing operations, supplier management, and quality initiatives
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working in a global, cross-functional organization
• Willingness for occasional domestic and international travel
