Manufacturing Planning Engineer

Memar Oy is a contract manufacturer in the metal industry. We specialise in contract manufacturing, maintenance components and fasteners, and component production. Our four units are in Virrat, Toijala, Seinäjoki and Pirkkala, each focusing on their own operations: Pirkkala and Toijala concentrate on forging and heat treatment, the machine shop is in Seinäjoki and screws are produced in Virrat. We are recruiting a permanent Manufacturing Planning Engineer to support Memar’s growth. As Manufacturing Planning Engineer you will be responsible for scheduling production tasks, workload management and work order planning in the Monitor ERP system. You will ensure that work proceeds in production in the correct order and that changes can be responded to smoothly. The role involves close cooperation with production supervisors. On a daily basis you will monitor production status, discuss with foremen and implement practical solutions to ensure smooth production.

• An engineering degree, supervisory experience and machining capability are advantageous, but the most important is practical understanding of production daily life.

• You are collaborative and proactive, comfortable with both systems and people.
• We expect fluent Finnish and good English.

In the initial phase you will get to familiarise with Memar’s different units, production practices and key people to gain a good overall view of the company’s production and to build the role successfully.

Key qualifications

• Engineering degree (insinööri) or equivalent
• Experience in production planning in a machine shop is advantageous
• Experience in supervision and machining is beneficial
• ERP-system experience not required but comfortable with learning systems
• Fluent Finnish and good English
