Marine Risk Engineer

In this role you will provide technical risk management for international transport and supply chains, focusing on loss prevention and risk mitigation. You’ll deliver risk engineering consulting to globally operating industrial clients and lead investigations of transport losses. You’ll perform site inspections, advise on packaging and routes, and support the security of insured goods. You will also train colleagues and clients and help digital tools evolve for risk analysis, contributing to safer, more efficient global logistics.

• Technical risk management for international transport and supply chains with a focus on loss prevention
• Risk engineering consulting for internationally operating industrial companies
• Investigating transport and storage losses and developing preventive measures
• Regular site inspections and risk assessments of storage facilities worldwide
• Advising clients on transportation projects regarding packaging, equipment, cargo securing, and routes
• Monitoring and supervising cargo handling operations for insured goods
• Independently organizing and delivering training courses and workshops
• Development of digital processes and tools for transport risk engineering and participation in internal projects

• University degree in engineering, natural sciences, logistics, or related technical discipline or equivalent qualification
• Professional experience in an industrial environment with understanding of global transportation and supply chain processes
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Analytical mindset with structured and efficient work style
• General affinity for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and interest in technology-based risk analysis applications
• Strong customer focus and enthusiasm for technical consulting
• Fluent German and English (C1)
• Willingness to undertake international business travel
