Mechanisms Design Engineer (m/f/d)

As a Mechanisms Design Engineer, you will develop stage separation, fairing, and fluid/electro-mechanical actuation systems for the Spectrum Launch Vehicle. You’ll drive design trades, document development and flight hardware, and collaborate with static structures and propulsion teams. Your mechanical and integrated design background will help you own outcomes from concept to qualification, delivering on time and to quality. • Define requirements for vehicle mechanisms and drive trade studies
• Create, review and release development and flight hardware drawings and design documentation
• Design mechanisms through CAD (concept to qualification) and sizing
• Interface with static structures and propulsion teams
• Identify build/test/design optimizations and push for solutions
• Plan and support manufacturing, testing, and qualification activities
• Support qualification checklist and documentation
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution

• Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
• 2+ years in a product full-cycle design engineering role
• Proficiency with CAD (Siemens NX preferred) and assembly/test execution
• Experience with manufacturing processes, scheduling/planning, materials and surface treatments
• Good understanding of ISO GPS or ASME GD&T tolerancing
• Knowledge of kinematic synthesis, pneumatic/hydraulic and electro-mechanical actuation, mechatronics, instrumentation, and tribology
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Proficient English; German a plus
