Responsibilities

• Define and communicate AI transformation vision for Medical Affairs aligned with enterprise AI strategy.
• Identify high‑impact AI use cases across HQ Medical and Field Medical.
• Prioritize initiatives based on value, feasibility, and strategic alignment.
• Stay current on emerging AI capabilities and translate them into actionable opportunities.
• Build functional prototypes and proofs‑of‑concept to demonstrate value.
• Develop, maintain, and curate Medical Affairs specific Agent Skills, workflow templates, and context architectures.
• Configure AI solutions with therapeutic area content, scientific terminology, and compliance/regulatory constraints.
• Enable subject‑matter experts to contribute and customize Agent Skills while maintaining quality and governance.
• Act as primary liaison between Medical Affairs and IT, translating business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
• Develop technical specifications and architecture documentation for scalable implementation.
• Build cross‑functional partnerships and proactively remove bottlenecks across Technology, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Procurement, and Data.

Basic Qualifications

• Breadth of diverse leadership experience, influence, collaboration, coaching, and guiding teams to achieve impactful outcomes.
• Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or related field (PharmD, PhD, MD preferred) or a degree in software development or computer science.
• 5+ years of Medical Affairs experience (HQ or Field) or software development for large, regulated enterprises.
• Demonstrated technical fluency: ability to build prototypes, develop AI instructions, and critically evaluate AI outputs.
• Proven track record of partnering with IT, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders to deliver solutions in governed environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate between technical and business audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with agentic AI frameworks, context engineering, or Agent Skills development.
• Background in Medical Affairs, Field Medical operations, or scientific communications.
• Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar integration standards.
• Familiarity with Veeva, Salesforce, or other Medical Affairs data platforms.
• Understanding of pharmaceutical compliance and regulatory considerations.

Benefits and Compensation

Annual base salary ranges from $176,600.00 to $294,300.00. Eligible for Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20% of base salary and a share‑based long‑term incentive program.
