MEMS Microphone Product Engineer (m/f/d)

As product engineer, you will be a leader focused on driving MEMS microphone development from design through manufacturing release. Work cross functionally with ASIC, MEMS and package design, test, quality, reliability, failure analysis and applications to deliver cutting edge MEMS devices to the market. Blend product engineering and technical product management experience to solve technical development challenges by guiding diverse, global engineering teams. Interact, communicate, present and collaborate with large volume customers to solve difficult and complex technical challenges. Team leader driving all product engineering activities (characterization, qualification, ATE / wafer test requirements, yield analysis and improvement, failure analysis) throughout the MEMS microphone development process. Mentor and develop junior product engineers.

Your responsibilities

• Own characterization, qualification, and reliability efforts in support of supplying large volume customers
• Define production test limits based on characterization data and production test GRR studies, ensuring product fulfills datasheet and quality requirements
• Analyze characterization, production and reliability test data to identify product issues as early as possible during development
• Lead tiger teams to resolve critical technical issues during new product development or during critical failure analysis
• Support post release sustaining activities
• Set up automated yield monitors
• Disposition early production lot holds
• Drive resolution of customer and production yield issues
• Contribute to the development and production ramp of novel MEMS microphone chipsets from early system architecture through DFX and manufacturing release
• Make critical tradeoffs across performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability and clearly communicate decisions to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work to aggressive schedules.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to draw conclusions from complex data set and present them at a detailed or high level depending upon audience
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis and familiarity with statistical software tools.
• Strong critical thinking and systematic problem-solving skills (DOE, 8D, Fishbone, etc)
• Good oral and written communication and mediation skills as well as intercultural competence to successfully manage stakeholders around the globe. Working language is English.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams both locally and internationally
• Ability and desire to become team lead for product engineering group in Europe
• A Master's degree in mechanical, electrical/electronics engineering, physics, material science or related field. PhD a plus.
• 10+ years product or quality engineering experience shipping MEMS/semiconductor modules to high volume customers
• Team leadership experience a plus.
• Scripting experience in statistical software (i.e. JMP) a plus
