MEU Asset Manager, Global Realty Portfolio Optimization, Global Realty

In this role, you will oversee the real estate management of a regional portfolio to ensure optimal operations and fiscal efficiency. You’ll act as the main point of contact for real estate escalations, partner with landlords and cross‑functional teams, and shape region-wide strategies aligned to Amazon’s expansion and operational needs. You will lead cost-saving and ESG initiatives, mitigate risks, and guide senior leaders on strategic real estate decisions. This position offers impact through complex property solutions within a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

• Oversee real estate management of assigned sites to optimize operations and utilization
• Serve as primary contact for real estate escalations to minimize business disruption
• Lead landlord consent negotiations and lease amendments for alterations and operations
• Develop and implement regional real estate strategies including portfolio optimization and risk management
• Support Transaction Managers with data-driven input on renewals and terminations
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements across the region
• Provide leadership during disasters or significant events affecting facilities
• Manage end-of-term obligations (dilapidations, reinstatement) to minimize exposure
• Build and maintain relationships with landlords, developers, and external stakeholders
• Provide strategic real estate advice to senior leadership for new concepts and initiatives
• Champion sustainability and ESG initiatives across the portfolio
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Construction on real estate guidance
• Support OPEX analysis and negotiate related service charges
• Assist audits and portfolio reviews with real estate input
• Provide reporting inputs for monthly/quarterly reviews and budgets with Finance on liabilities and targets

• Fluent in English and German writing with strong grammar and style
• Extensive experience in property or asset management within commercial real estate or related sectors
• Ability to analyze and explain complex lease terminology and provisions
• Proficient in commercial real estate management software, Microsoft Office, and CRM systems
• Understanding of commercial/industrial building systems (fire and life safety, HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and ability to read construction blueprints
