Mid-Level Java Developer – AWS, AI Solutions

Develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services
Support the design and implementation of solutions using AWS cloud services
Assist in building and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable applications
Work with architects, senior developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Integrate AI solutions or AI-enabled services into applications as needed
Troubleshoot application issues and support resolution across development, testing, and production environments
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning sessions
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established standards and best practices
Support API development, system integration, and application enhancements
Contribute to cloud migration, modernization, and deployment activities
Help maintain documentation for application design, technical processes, and support procedures
Collaborate with team members in an agile development environment

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
8 years of experience with a BA/BS degree, or 6 years of experience with an MA/MS degree
Strong hands‑on experience in Java development
Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud‑based application support
Experience working with AI solutions, AI‑enabled applications, or AI integration
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
Experience with software development lifecycle processes and agile methodologies
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem‑solving skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Selected candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Preferred: Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, or JPA
Preferred: Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
Preferred: Experience with cloud deployment tools and infrastructure‑as‑code, such as CloudFormation or Terraform
Preferred: Exposure to AI/ML tools, generative AI solutions, or model integration
Preferred: Experience with database technologies such as SQL, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
Preferred: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Preferred: Experience supporting cloud migration or modernization initiatives
Preferred: Knowledge of cloud security best practices and IAM concepts
