Mobile Application Developer (m/f/d)

Location: Hanover

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the AI research and development team to integrate cloud‑based infrastructure with AI models into mobile applications.
  • Optimize workflows for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop, test, and deploy native SDKs written in Swift (iOS), Java/Kotlin (Android), and Dart (Flutter).
  • Scale, refactor, and provide functional/technical design for existing SDKs.
  • Run, deploy, and maintain applications on the Continental App Store, Apple App Store, and Google Play Store, while maintaining the CI/CD environment.
  • Manage external vendors and offshore developers for mobile application support and development, ensuring defined SLAs are strictly followed.
  • Manage incidents, changes, and troubleshooting related to mobile applications via service‑desk tools.
  • Conceptualize and implement new business ideas in collaboration with data scientists, cloud engineers, and other mobile app developers.
  • Participate in the product development process within an agile (Scrum) team.
  • Develop and work on innovation topics such as new MVPs.
  • Work with UI/UX designers to build new apps following modern state‑of‑the‑art design languages (e.g., Material3).
  • Establish QA requirements and perform end‑to‑end unit testing for applications and SDKs.

Qualifications

  • Academic degree in computer science or a related field, or comparable qualification.
  • Several years of solid experience in native and cross‑platform mobile application development.
  • Thorough knowledge of native iOS development (Swift) or native Android development (Java/Kotlin).
  • Working knowledge and development experience with the Flutter cross‑platform framework is a plus.
  • Basic experience in agile project management methodologies and ITIL/service‑management processes.
  • Fluent English skills (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to learn and a strong eagerness to grow.
