Job Description

  • Responsible for the overall operation of technical building and infrastructure facilities, as well as for construction and renovation projects, machine/plant installations, occupational safety, health protection, environmental compliance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Organisation and assurance of the smooth day‑to‑day operation of all technical facility systems, such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning, compressed air, energy supply, production infrastructure, and building services.
  • Management of the local facility team, as well as technical management and coordination of external service providers to ensure safe, stable, and efficient plant and building operation.
  • Development and maintenance of capacity and load models for site‑relevant supply systems (e.g., energy, water, compressed air).
  • Responsibility for investment and modernization projects, including project planning, budgeting, tendering, supplier management and implementation of technical upgrades.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant occupational health and safety, environmental and building guidelines, as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Development, implementation and continuous improvement of guidelines, SOPs and emergency/evacuation plans.
  • Managing budget and cost planning, contract and supplier management, and optimising service and maintenance processes.
  • Supporting company‑wide sustainability goals (ESG) through efficient use of resources and energy and initiatives to reduce waste and emissions.
  • Defining, monitoring and actively managing relevant KPIs in the areas of costs, plant availability, and compliance.
  • Active contribution to the local site management team and close cooperation with cross‑functional areas to ensure economical and reliable operation in support of all production and business processes.

What You Should Bring With You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of facilities management experience, preferably in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing.
  • Broad understanding of safety and environmental compliance requirements. Experience working with regulatory agencies such as local government preferred.
  • Deep understanding of critical utilities and environmental controls.
  • Strong knowledge of building management systems (BMS), CMMS, and facility‑related software.
  • Full professional proficiency in German and English, both verbally and in writing, combined with excellent communication, organisational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in ISO, IATF or other quality management systems.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse operational team.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
  • A valid EU driver’s licence.
  • Good knowledge of the common MS Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.

Education & Experience

Minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent work experience.
