Optical Instruments Performance Engineer (d/f/m)

In this role you will shape the next generation of space optical instruments by performing performance analysis, budgeting, and verification across multiple projects. You will collaborate with project teams, suppliers and space agencies to model, simulate, and test instrument performance, while contributing to concept evaluation and kinematic design decisions. You will work in a dynamic, multinational environment to enable innovative instrument concepts and reliable operations in space.

• Performance engineering: analysis, budgeting, and modelling of optical instrument performance; maintain budgets with as-built data in collaboration with project teams and subcontractors; develop data processing tools for performance simulation and test evaluation; plan and execute instrument characterization and calibration campaigns; liaise with customers and scientific users.

• Academic Degree in Physics or Engineering; PhD welcome.
