Part Time Japanese Instructor

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons in accordance with Berlitz teaching principles: focusing on the goals, needs, and interests of students.
• Conduct level assessments and needs‑analysis, as assigned by Service Delivery Manager or Academic Specialist.
• Work with private and group students at the Learning Center, one of our offsite locations or virtually, as assigned by Service Delivery Manager.
• Meet with Academic Specialist regularly to participate in lesson evaluation and coaching plan to strengthen teaching skills and ensure SMART goals are met.
• Complete training and professional development modules in @Berlitz Learning website and/or face‑to‑face live sessions, assigned by Academic Specialist.
• Be responsible for keeping student pedagogical and attendance records up to date.
• Integrate learning technology into teaching programs and maintain shared teaching resource materials.
• Perform duties as deemed fit for proper execution and delegated by the Service Delivery Manager or Academic Specialist.

Requirements

• Eligible to work in the US
• Four‑year college/university degree or equivalent
• Native, fluent in language(s) to teach
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Be flexible in working hours
• Be able to take initiative and work independently
• Availability during the day.
