Plant Manager (m/f/d)

Overview

As Plant Manager in Greifenberg, you lead a ~120-person operation producing ultrafiltration products, combining safety, quality, delivery, and cost discipline. You align site priorities with business goals, build strong teams, and drive continuous improvement through lean principles. You will partner across EH&S, R&D, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure reliable supply and exceptional customer outcomes. This role offers hands-on leadership, problem solving, and the chance to shape performance culture with a growth mindset.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Set safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity targets using daily visual management and tiered meetings
  • Lead real-time problem solving and manage operational risks
  • Ensure reliable supply and high customer outcomes through disciplined operations
  • Drive lean manufacturing and operational excellence across the site
  • Implement and coach standard work, daily management, and action tracking
  • Lead problem solving (A3 methodology) to address root causes and KPIs
  • Foster continuous improvement through Kaizen, value stream, 5S, and rhythm disciplines
  • Spend time on the shop floor to understand performance and engage staff
  • Develop leaders and talent, coach for succession, and build an inclusive culture
  • Align operations with customer needs, growth, and business priorities
  • Deliver financial rigor and optimize cost, productivity, and asset utilization
  • Lead organizational change and sustain new ways of working
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Solid manufacturing leadership across multiple disciplines (operations, engineering, supply chain, maintenance, reliability, technology, quality, finance, HR, EHS, or continuous improvement)
  • Proven experience leading leaders and driving plant performance improvements
  • Proven experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, Daily Management, and structured problem solving
  • Experience in labor union or works council environments preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or related discipline preferred
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Strong safety mindset and sustainability focus
  • Fluent in German and English
