Plant Manager (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the safe, efficient and continuous operation of the site.
• Provide technical and managerial leadership for the Production and Engineering departments and ensure the smooth running of site operations.
• Assume responsibility for the budgets and costs of the Production and Engineering departments.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant occupational health, environmental and quality standards (e.g. cGMP, ISO, HACCP, BImSchG).
• Initiate and consistently implement process optimisations and measures to enhance efficiency, quality and sustainability.
• Actively shape the strategic development of the site and drive operational excellence.
• Initiate, coordinate and successfully implement operational projects.
• Act as the central point of contact for authorities, service providers and site partners.
• Assume leadership responsibility, develop staff and foster a performance- and safety-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• A successfully completed degree in chemistry, process engineering or a comparable qualification.
• Several years’ management experience in an operational role, ideally in the oleochemical or chemical industry.
• In‑depth knowledge of production management, lean management, continuous improvement and, ideally, supply chain processes.
• An entrepreneurial leader with a strong hands‑on approach and an appreciative management style that treats colleagues as equals.
• Strong communication skills in German and English.
• A proactive approach, decisiveness and the ambition to develop the site sustainably together with the teams.
