Postdoctoral Researcher in Biopsychology (m/f/x)

Our group investigates the neural basis of cognition and behavior using pigeons as a model system. We combine advanced behavioral, anatomical, and neuroimaging approaches to study the neural basis of cognition across multiple levels of analysis.

Job Details

Scope: full-time (39.83 hours/week = 100%).

Duration: fixed-term, 4 years.

Your tasks:

Develop and lead innovative research projects in cognitive neuroscience
Coordinate experimental activities and support PhD researchers within the team
Contribute to ongoing externally funded projects
Publish in visible international journals and present findings at international conferences

Your profile:

We are seeking a team-oriented and dedicated postdoctoral researcher (m/f/x) (a completed PhD is required) with a background in neuroscience, psychology, biology, biomedical engineering, or a related field, who has demonstrated excellent research achievements in at least one of the following areas:

Neuroanatomical analysis
fMRI / neuroimaging methods
Advanced behavioural experimentation and analysis

Further information

The position is salaried and based on the collective agreement of the Länder (TV-L). If the personal and collective agreement requirements are met, the employee will receive pay grade E13 TV-L TV-L.

If the position is funded by third-party funds the employee has no teaching obligation.

Interviews can be conducted via video call.

Campus languages are German and English. Competence in at least one of the two languages and willingness to learn the other is a prerequisite. Free German language courses are offered by the University Language Center.
