Position Overview

We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Management for a fixed‑term two‑year position. The role starts on October1,2026 (or as agreed), and is based mainly in Seinäjoki, Kokkola, or Vaasa. The researcher will be part of the Strategic Business Development research group and will work on project planning, implementation, and funding applications. The position includes teaching and supervision in the Master’s program in Business Development, with a strong emphasis on integrating research, teaching, and regional impact.

Responsibilities

Participate in the planning and execution of research projects and in the application for national and international research funding.
Build long‑term cooperation with regional companies, development organisations, and university centres.
Identify opportunities for research, development, and innovation collaborations based on regional economic needs.
Teach and supervise students in the Master’s program, integrating case studies and company projects.
Develop research networks and create new research and RDI projects with stakeholders.

Qualifications

Strong interest in research‑based pedagogy and in combining research with teaching.
Experience in practical and applied teaching and in engaging regional actors.
Ability to build research networks and to develop R&D projects.
Prepared to work regularly in Seinäjoki, Kokkola, and Vaasa.
