As our Pre-Sales Specialist LiHa for DACH (Germany-Austria-Switzerland), you will be part of the European LiHa Sales Enablement team, where we actively collaborate and share regional insights to identify pan-regional trends and promote cross-border strategies.

You will be accountable for DACH LiHa order entry and sales results, ensuring the accurate, complete, and timely handover of sales projects to our service team.

You will take ownership of executing and further developing the pre-sales process in the region, and contribute directly to the overall revenue of DACH (Germany-Austria-Switzerland).

Responsibilities

  • Support the DACH liquid handling sales team to achieve or exceed sales targets through highly technical and consultative engagement.
  • Develop customer credibility by demonstrating deep automation knowledge, effective communication, and creative problem-solving.
  • Manage pre-sales application requirements and documentation for LiHa projects.
  • Execute strategies to deliver successful demonstrations of liquid handling hardware and software capabilities.
  • Demonstrate technical solutions by configuring systems, presenting solutions or hardware and software demos, either in person or via remote demonstration.
  • Promote the growth of the liquid handling business in Iberia by sharing best practices, applications, new products, and competitive information.
  • Ensure effective project implementation through complete, orderly, and documented transfer of project information to the Tecan service organization.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the pre-sales process in the region.
  • Share successful solutions with the broader EU sales enablement team.
  • Co‑ordination and active information on projects with FAS and market specialists, i.e. genomics, proteomics and other sales dev specialists with the intention to give a best qualified and winning response to clients.
  • Support the sales team with technical information needed for tenders/RFQs.

Your background

  • Science degree or equivalent; experience with laboratory automation is a plus - Life Sciences domain knowledge.
  • 5 years of Life Sciences capital sales experience, including in automation sales and in field application.
  • Strong commercial skills and track record in automation sales, preferably including robotic workcells.
  • Ability to recognize and solve potential problem areas, demonstrating business safety and integrity.
  • Effective communicator and persuasive presenter, able to understand the needs of internal and external clients.
  • Balanced business personality with both ambition and integrity; team player, diplomatic, modest, and pragmatic.
  • Stress‑resistant, flexible, and eager to continuously learn.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Language skills: German and English required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, SAP; experience with CAD or 3D rendering and event‑driven scheduling software is an asset.
