Presales Engineer - OT Security - Germany

As an OT Systems Engineer in Germany, you enable and advocate Fortinet’s Security Fabric for industrial environments. You collaborate with sales, presales and channel teams to validate cyber security designs, deliver PoCs, and support customers across OT/ICS landscapes. You translate compliance needs and reference architectures into practical Fortinet solutions, driving secure, scalable industrial architectures. You will engage with partners and customers to shape secure digital journeys in OT contexts.

• Deliver product demonstrations and customer-focused presentations
• Conduct technical enablement sessions and workshops for partners
• Plan, set up, and execute PoCs to validate Fortinet solutions
• Provide technical sales enablement to sales teams with knowledge and competitive insights
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to build trusted relationships and accelerate deals
• Support compliance mapping of OT regulations to Fortinet products

• 3–5 years in OT/ICS environments (ICS, SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, HMI, Historian)
• 4–6 years in technical/pre-sales support or systems engineering
• Experience with LAN/WAN/Internet services administration
• Familiarity with IEC 62443, NIST CSF, CIS Top 20, ISO 27XXX, NERC-CIP
• Knowledge of industrial protocols (EthernetIP, Modbus, DNP3, OPC, IEC 104)
• Strong understanding of DNS/NFS/SMTP/HTTP/TCPIP
• Experience with encryption and authentication technologies (RADIUS, PKI, IKE, IPSEC, TLS)
• Fluency in German and English (80/20 split)
• Willingness to travel
