• Work directly with application teams to design and deliver compliant solutions on AWS.
• Drive migration initiatives: Partner with app owners, architects, and business stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and execute changes to modernize critical workloads.
• Design and implement architectures that ensure seamless interoperability across on‑premises cloud, public cloud, and edge platforms, always with an eye on efficiency, security, and performance.
• Champion Cost Optimization: Work closely with FinOps and finance teams to build business cases, model TCO/ROI, and track cloud and on‑prem spend. Drive cost transparency and optimization initiatives.
• Enable Automation & Modernization: Identify and implement opportunities for automation, CI/CD integration, and infrastructure‑as‑code within AWS cloud environments.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate roadmap, benefits, risks, and progress to business and technical teams. Gather feedback, conduct analysis, and iterate to deliver value to our stakeholders.

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related.
• 7+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree.

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code implementations leveraging tools like Terraform, CloudFormation and Ansible.
• Experience with Kubernetes implementation at the infrastructure deployment and provisioning level.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience designing, deploying, and managing AWS infrastructure.
• Experience troubleshooting AWS cloud deployments and associated components (storage, networking, compute, Windows and Linux operating systems).
• Strong experience leading technical teams or projects, especially across multiple time zones and cultures.
• Ability to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements and user stories.
• Experience with container platforms (AWS EKS, AWS ECS, Docker, Tanzu, OpenShift), especially in AWS or migration scenarios.
• Experience with hardware supporting GPU‑enabled AI/ML and/or High‑Performance Computing environments.
• Working knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure‑as‑code in cloud computing settings.
• Proficient with scripting/automation with Python.
• Experience with topics such as IT cost management, FinOps, TCO analysis, chargeback/showback, and cloud spend optimization.
• Background in network/storage troubleshooting and optimization.
• Knowledge of data migration tools, capabilities and methodologies (e.g., AWS Snowball, AWS DataSync, VMware HCX).
• Experience collaborating with or mentoring global/offshore teams.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and change management skills.
• Experience supporting infrastructure and operations for predictive analytics, AI/ML, or automation in IT delivery.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Supports development and execution of the organization’s cloud strategy from a technical perspective, including design, planning, integration, maintenance and support of cloud architecture.
• Works with stakeholders across the organization to evaluate cloud systems and identify appropriate solutions.
• Responsible for complete end‑to‑end project management for the assigned project(s) which includes project planning, delivery, client interaction, troubleshooting and implementation support.
• Drives the application of principles, theories and concepts based on the Cloud Stack and determines the best course of action.
• Assesses opportunities for application and process improvement and prepares documentation to share with team members and other affected parties.
• Requires sound technical knowledge combined with reasonable understanding of business issues.

TECHNICAL SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering R&D, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies – from design to implementation – while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR PhD with 3 years relevant experience.
