Compensation: $180K - $200K base depending on experience

Overview
We are seeking a Principal Network Engineer / Architect to join a high-performance Managed Services engineering team supporting complex enterprise network environments.
This role is designed for engineers operating at CCIE-level technical depth who specialize in advanced troubleshooting, escalation engineering, and architecture guidance across large-scale Cisco and Arista environments.
The Principal Engineer will serve as the senior technical authority across multiple enterprise clients simultaneously , supporting production networks that span large-scale campus, data center, and WAN infrastructures.
Success in this role requires the ability to context switch across multiple enterprise environments , diagnose complex networking issues quickly, and provide expert-level technical leadership to both internal teams and client engineering organizations.
This is a hands‑on engineering role focused heavily on deep technical troubleshooting and escalation support , not a NOC or ticket‑processing position.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Principal escalation engineer across multiple enterprise client environments
- Perform advanced troubleshooting across complex Cisco and Arista production networks
- Lead root cause analysis for high-severity network incidents impacting enterprise environments
- Operate as the technical authority supporting several enterprise infrastructures simultaneously
- Provide architectural guidance across campus, data center, and WAN network designs
- Troubleshoot advanced routing, switching, and overlay networking architectures
- Serve as an internal escalation resource for complex TAC-level networking issues
- Partner directly with enterprise client engineering teams and infrastructure leadership
- Develop documentation, standards, and best practices across managed environments
Technical Requirements - Cisco & Arista Focus
- Expert‑level networking depth across:
- BGP, OSPF, advanced routing policy and traffic engineering
- EVPN / VXLAN overlay architectures
- Large‑scale Layer 2 and Layer 3 troubleshooting
- Enterprise data center networking and spine‑leaf fabrics
- High‑availability network architecture and multi‑site design
- Cisco Expertise:
- Deep hands‑on experience with Cisco enterprise and data center networking including:
- Cisco Nexus 9000 platforms
- Cisco Catalyst 9000 campus environments
- Cisco ACI fabric architectures
- SD‑WAN (Viptela or similar)
- Complex enterprise routing and switching environments
- Arista Expertise:
- Experience designing and troubleshooting modern Arista environments including:
- Arista EOS switching platforms
- EVPN / VXLAN spine‑leaf data center fabrics
- Large‑scale Arista data center deployments
- Troubleshooting distributed leaf‑spine architectures
- Experience with Arista CloudVision is a plus
Ideal Candidate Background
- 10 years of enterprise networking experience
- Engineers operating at CCIE-level depth (certification not required)
- Strong experience in Managed Services, MSP, VAR, or consulting environments
- Proven ability to support multiple enterprise clients simultaneously
- Track record of solving complex production networking issues
- Experience supporting large‑scale enterprise or Fortune 500 infrastructure environments
- Ability to operate independently as a senior technical authority
