Product Manager I

Stellenbeschreibung:

Company Name: tastytrade Role: Product Manager I Location: Chicago, IL - Hybrid (3 days/week in office)

Our Product Team manages the portfolio of features and enhancements that power tastytrade, guiding each initiative from initial concept through discovery, build, deployment, and continuous improvement. As a Product Manager I, you'll own end-to-end development of product features for our trading platform, balancing user needs with business goals while coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver value. You'll develop 3-6 month roadmaps aligned with strategic vision and work closely with engineering, design, compliance, and business stakeholders to bring products to life.

What You'll Do:

Own product features from conception to launch: Lead feature development through the complete lifecycle, creating detailed product requirements, developing business cases with ROI projections, and establishing success metrics through OKRs and KPIs that cascade from business objectives.

Drive data-driven product decisions: Leverage analytics and user research to identify growth opportunities and optimize feature performance.

Conduct user research and market analysis to inform strategic decisions, delivering comprehensive impact analyses with quantifiable business metrics.

Navigate regulatory and technical complexity: Partner with legal, compliance, operational, and business teams throughout the product lifecycle, balancing regulatory requirements with optimal user experiences.

Define comprehensive non-functional requirements (NFR) around performance, security, and reliability while partnering with engineering teams on implementation.

Manage stakeholder relationships: Communicate complex product concepts in accessible, compelling language tailored to diverse stakeholder groups. Provide timely, transparent updates on product progress and roadblocks while making priority decisions that balance competing stakeholder needs with business objectives.

Prototype and experiment: Develop rapid prototypes to test concepts and gather feedback before full implementation.

Apply structured problem-solving frameworks to product challenges and lead discovery efforts to identify user needs and pain points.

Leverage modern tools and technologies: Utilize AI and other tools for market analysis, competitive research, and product optimization.

Master advanced PM methods including prototyping, A/B testing, advanced analytics, and roadmapping platforms.

Who You Are:

2-4 years of product management experience with a track record of successful feature or product delivery that drove measurable business outcomes. Fintech or financial services product experience preferred – familiarity with trading platforms, brokerage operations, payments, account management, or financial markets technology is a strong plus. Understanding of regulatory requirements in financial services is valuable.

Strong technical foundation – comfortable defining NFR requirements, partnering with engineering teams on implementation, and creating functional prototypes.

Commercial sensibility – able to create business cases with ROI projections, develop pricing models and monetization strategies, and track key financial metrics tied to product performance.
