Product Support Engineer 3

As a Product Support Engineer at Lam, you act as the technical backbone for field engineers and product support teams, diagnosing and resolving complex electro-mechanical and software-related issues. You will serve as the SME for the Electrofill product portfolio and drive data-driven, corrective actions in collaboration with global engineers and customers. Your work strengthens customer satisfaction through expert troubleshooting, experimental validation, and proactive knowledge sharing across Lam’s technical community. • Serve as SME for Electrofill portfolio and lead complex escalation resolutions
• Partner with customers and account teams to perform root cause analysis and deliver data-driven solutions
• Collaborate with global engineering and factory teams to drive corrective actions and prevent recurrence
• Lead technically challenging troubleshooting for semiconductor equipment and processes
• Build trust with customers through technical leadership and credible recommendations
• Mentor field and account engineers with guidance and training
• Support field escalations across Electrofill product platforms
• Apply advanced engineering methods to investigate issues and validate solutions
• Design experiments to validate improvements and support product development cycles
• Own corrective action plans from identification to field deployment
• Communicate findings and progress to customers and internal stakeholders
• Utilize advanced diagnostics to accelerate problem resolution

• Minimum 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with a Master; or PhD without experience
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to influence and collaborate across customers, engineering teams, and business functions
• Experience working directly with customers and handling challenging technical situations
• Comfort working in cleanroom environments and following semiconductor safety protocols
• Ability to wear PPE including cleanroom garments and respirators
• Flexibility to support shift, standby, or on-call activities
