Production Manager (API Manufacturing)

Location: Hanau Area, Germany

Industry: Pharmaceutical API CDMO

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join a growing API CDMO in the Hanau area. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations and support the development of a new pharmaceutical production facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily API production activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and GMP‑compliant operations.
• Lead and support technology transfer and process development activities.
• Review and maintain GMP batch records and manufacturing documentation.
• Drive continuous process improvements to optimise production performance.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure production targets are met.
• Mentor and support production staff, promoting a positive and high‑performing team environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–6 years of experience in API manufacturing, chemical production, or a GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical environment.
• Experience with technology transfer, process development, and GMP batch records.
• Previous experience leading, supervising, or mentoring production teams.
• Good understanding of GMP requirements and manufacturing processes.
• German language skills at B2 level or above and good English communication skills.
