Program Analyst (Data Management)

Summary

Position located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, open at each listed location. Open to the public under announcement DE- -CAWV-SM. Must apply to each announcement separately to be considered under multiple recruitment methods.

Major Duties

Responsible for the district’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Special Law Enforcement Commission (SLEC), and Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) data collection programs, providing direct assistance and advice to the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) and Supervisory Corrections Officer (SCO) or designees.

• Develop and refine collection and analysis of statistics, departmental data, and FOIA requests.
• Ensure program compliance with regulations.
• Plan and carry out assignments based on prescribed objectives.
• Consolidate work into useful responses ensuring relevance, technical accuracy, and consistency.
• Provide advice to senior officials on FOIA information management, release, and tracking of requests.
• Provide regular status updates to OJS Headquarters on outstanding requests.
• Review collected information and determine release based on applicable laws and policies.
• Assist in development programs and recommend concepts for change to achieve accurate data reporting and submissions.

Compensation and Benefits

Starts with the beginning salary of the pay grade (Step 1). Salary tables for Muskogee, Oklahoma; Nashville, Tennessee; Sacramento, California are available. Probationary period and additional benefits are governed by agency policies.
