Project Engineer-Solar

About the Role

We are searching for a Project Engineer‑Solar on behalf of our client. This is a 1‑year contract assignment (W‑2). You will support utility‑scale solar farm design and construction and oversee 3rd‑party contractor teams to develop engineering designs for solar projects. You will coordinate project stakeholders and mobilize engineering teams to meet business objectives, applying value engineering to balance reliability, cost, and performance across electrical, structural, civil, and materials disciplines. A preferred candidate has experience managing schedules and budgets for major capital projects.

Location: Prefer in‑office Juno Beach, FL or Remote. Remote work will be considered based on experience level. Candidates must be willing to travel to the office in Juno Beach periodically, with trips more frequent in the first 3–6 months. 25% travel required.

Key Responsibilities

• Project engineering responsibilities span from initial concept definition to construction and final commissioning, coordinating with diverse project team members such as environmental, procurement, transmission services, and project managers for both early stage and construction phases.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience, though fewer years may be accepted if experience makes a good match.
• Preferred engineering and project management experience on utility‑scale solar projects.
• Experience in related fields such as DG/commercial solar, wind, BESS, combined cycle, nuclear, hydrogen, substation, and transmission.
• Experience outside the power industry (e.g., aerospace, civil/stormwater) may be considered.
