Project Manager - Grid Connection (m/f/d) in Renewable Energies

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate grid connection applications and agreements with DSOs and TSOs, and lead the entire grid connection process from first offers through to successful commissioning.
• Conduct and lead technical negotiations with grid operators and act as the central technical interface between grid operators, EPCs, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop, coordinate, or technically review the electrical design of PV, wind, and BESS projects up to the point of grid connection, ensuring technical robustness and feasibility.
• Define, assess, and optimize medium‑ and high‑voltage grid connection concepts and translate technical requirements into implementable solutions.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable grid codes, technical standards, and connection requirements across all project phases.
• Provide hands‑on technical support to Engineering and Procurement teams to enable informed technical decisions and efficient supplier coordination.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
• Approximately three years of professional experience in grid connection management or as a technical project contributor for grid connection of PV, wind, and/or BESS projects.
• Hands‑on experience in utility‑scale renewable energy projects and an understanding of the technical and organisational complexity of large infrastructures.
• Solid technical understanding of medium‑ and high‑voltage infrastructure and motivation to deepen expertise.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to build a professional network within the European energy sector.
• Fluency in English and ideally an additional language such as German, Italian, or Spanish, combined with a high level of initiative, commitment, and collaborative mindset.
