Psychiatric Specialist Doctor, Public Services, Jyväskylä

Job Overview

At Terveystalo, we do important work—health. We are now seeking about five psychiatric specialist doctors for the Central Finland welfare area for adult psychiatric outpatient care. The work involves typical psychiatric tasks such as outpatient work, consultations, reports, treatment planning and follow‑up. Visits may be via phone, remote or in-person and last from 15 to 120 minutes depending on the purpose. The work is primarily during office hours, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, with no on‑call duties. The role can be performed in a hybrid model with about 40% on‑site in Jyväskylä. The full‑time workload is 38.25 hours per week, with at least 50% of full‑time hours required. The system used is Lifecare.

Responsibilities

Provide adult psychiatric outpatient care, including assessments, consultations, report writing, treatment planning and follow‑up. Conduct visits via phone, remote or in‑person, and coordinate care within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Medical specialist qualification in psychiatry
• At least two years of experience in specialised care
• At least one year of experience in a similar outpatient team
• Compliance with infectious disease law vaccination requirements
• Good Finnish language skills
• Special experience in addiction medicine is an advantage
