For more than 30 years, piezosystem jena has been developing and manufacturing high-precision piezo actuators, positioning systems and high-performance drive electronics.

Our solutions are used wherever motion has to be delivered with the utmost precision, speed and force – among others in the semiconductor industry, photonics and optics, aerospace, research and industrial automation.

In doing so, we work together with international technology companies, OEM customers, research institutes and universities.

Many of our applications do not come from a standard catalogue. Together with our customers, we develop the technically and commercially appropriate solution for their particular application.

Your Chance

As a Purchasing Buyer (m/f/d), you will take on a central role in reliably supplying our company with materials, components and services.

You will work closely with production, engineering, sales and management, making sure that the materials we need are available in the right quality, at the right time and on commercially optimal terms.

In addition to operational purchasing, you will actively shape our supplier relationships and support us in continuously developing our purchasing processes and supply chains.

Your Tasks

• Handling operational purchasing of materials, components and services
• Requesting, reviewing and comparing quotations
• Selecting, managing and developing our suppliers
• Negotiating prices, delivery times and terms and conditions
• Creating and following up on purchase orders
• Monitoring delivery dates and ensuring material availability
• Identifying supply bottlenecks at an early stage and developing suitable solutions
• Maintaining purchasing, supplier and material master data in the ERP system
• Supporting the evaluation and qualification of suppliers
• Analysing purchase prices and identifying savings potentialCoordinating closely with production, engineering and sales
• Supporting the optimisation of our purchasing and procurement processes

Your Profile

• Completed commercial or technical vocational training or a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in purchasing within a manufacturing company is an advantage
• Technical understanding and an interest in sophisticated technical products
• Confident and dependable manner when dealing with suppliers
• Negotiating skills and a strong cost awareness
• Structured, independent and reliable way of working
• Sound knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office
• Very good German and good English language skills, both written and spoken
• Team spirit, initiative and a genuine willingness to take on responsibility
