Your mission & challenges
As a Quality Engineer in manufacturing, you ensure—on behalf of the department management—that all quality-related requirements are met in our assembly, testing, and commissioning processes.
You are the technical voice of quality on the shop floor, ensuring that cognitive and humanoid robotic systems are manufactured safely, reliably, and with consistent, reproducible quality.
Your Goal:
To further develop and embed quality standards, testing processes, and error-prevention strategies so that our robotic systems can be produced reliably and at high quality in series production.
Your Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with all quality-related requirements in assembly, electrical systems, software, commissioning, and testing—on behalf of department management.
- Defining, developing, and maintaining testing, measurement, and quality processes, including functional tests, end-of-line testing, and traceability.
- Analyzing defects and quality deviations, assessing risks, and initiating effective immediate and corrective actions.
- Conducting root cause analyses (e.g., 5 Whys, Ishikawa, FMEA) and coordinating corrective and preventive measures.
- Monitoring quality-related KPIs, identifying improvement needs, and reporting regularly to department management.
- Collaborating closely with the central quality organization to implement quality standards, audits, quality management methods, and regulatory requirements in manufacturing.
- Ensuring traceability of hardware and software versions and supporting technical approvals.
- Driving continuous improvement on the shop floor and supporting the development of robust, automatable manufacturing and testing processes.
- Training employees in quality-related topics and fostering a strong quality mindset within the team.
What we can look forward to
You are an analytical and hands-on individual who sees quality not as control, but as an integral part of efficient production processes.
You work in a structured and responsible manner and bring strong technical expertise and process understanding. In addition, you offer:
- A completed Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
- Experience in quality management, manufacturing, or development of mechatronic systems—ideally in a series production environment.
- Knowledge of relevant quality methods and tools (FMEA, DRBFM, 8D, MSA, Six Sigma).
- Affinity for software-based systems and experience with measurement and testing technology, quality standards, and traceability systems.
- Experience working with quality organizations, e.g., in audits, approvals, standards interpretation, or quality management processes.
- A structured, solution-oriented, and quality-conscious working style.
- Strong communication and assertiveness skills, with enjoyment in working in interdisciplinary teams.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
