Regional Business Development Director – Northern Europe (Distributor Markets)

We're supporting an international medical device company in the search for a Regional Business Development Director to take ownership of Northern Europe, leading commercial growth across the region.

This is not a traditional people management role. Instead, you'll act as the commercial lead for the region, working through an established distributor network to strengthen performance, develop market strategy and drive sustainable growth.

What you'll be doing:

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy across Northern Europe.
• Manage and develop distributor partnerships across 13 countries.
• Drive market development through distributor coaching, business planning and performance management.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen or optimise the distributor network.
• Build strong relationships with surgeons, key opinion leaders and distributor leadership teams.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting and regional business planning.
• Work closely with senior international leadership to shape long-term market strategy.

What we’re looking for

We’re particularly interested in candidates who have:

• Significant experience managing distributor networks across Germany, Austria and Northern Europe .
• A strong background within surgical medical devices , ideally implantable technologies, surgical devices or adjacent surgical specialties.
• Experience developing mature European markets through channel partners rather than direct sales organisations.
• A proven track record of growing distributor performance, developing commercial strategy and supporting market expansion.
• Experience working closely with surgeons, hospitals and key opinion leaders.
• Fluent German and English.
• Based in Germany.
