Regional Sales Manager North Germany

Summary of Position

The North of Germany is a successful area of our DACH region. We have recently promoted one of our DACH sales leaders, therefore, the position is open now.

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager - North Germany with 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.

In this role, you are responsible for many different activities and accountable for different targets:

  • Expansion of the dealer network: Identifying, visiting, convincing, and onboarding new dealers will make up a large part of the job.
  • Creation and management of all the sale-in and sell-out support and opportunities with the intention to create strong and reliable network increasing the market share in the focus regions.
  • Identify potential fleet business opportunities with public authorities and other organizations, and manage them in close cooperation with the Manager of Fleet.

In this role you will interact and support our partners in the regions by facilitating the task of our dealers to perform their service while coaching them in their Sales activities. You will provide first-tier excellent service to our dealers, work closely together with our PR-agency to ensure that Sales and Marketing activities in the region are organized and repeatedly performed in the most efficient and successful way possible.

You will be working from your home office, spending most of your time on the road (approximately 2 days in the office and 3 days on the field), attending Sales/Marketing events, meeting your dealers and building on your network. There are lots of activities during weekends where you will be expected to participate, some are standard and seasonally planned, and some will be scheduled ad‑hoc.

In your position you are responsible for planned sales & dealer development targets. You will report to the Sales Director Europe.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Scope

  • Represent Zero Motorcycles in business activities in your region.
  • Manage complete sales planning, ordering & delivery process for the dealers in your region.
  • Build, extend and maintain the dealer network to the level as agreed and based on business targets.
  • Report on a regular basis on business progress to the DACH team and line manager.
  • Support and steer the local B2B partner to be successful in managing governmental fleet opportunities.
  • Support your dealers and distributors in all activities in an engaging manner, ensuring clarity on processes, ways of working, campaigns, and investing in long-term business relationships.
  • Join all sales meetings.
  • Participate and drive ongoing product trainings, news, changes, procedure improvements.
  • Weekly and monthly forecasts on wholesales and retail sales.
  • Come up with plans/promotions to stimulate wholesales and limit dealer stock (sell-through).
  • Work closely together with our field service engineers.

Marketing Scope

  • You will implement marketing campaigns in accordance with central EMEA marketing plans with special focus on the assigned market. Responsibilities will include evaluating dealer needs, campaign implementation, controlling brand presence and working with the marketing team to ensure that the marketing activities are accurate and supportive of reaching sales objectives.
  • Coordination of local marketing activities and monitoring of their execution.
  • Weekly marketing report collection.
  • Liaise with local PR agency (where applicable).
  • Partner with third party agencies to execute events or other locally identified activities.
  • Together with the HQ Marketing and local Marketing agency, oversee and decide all marketing activities.
  • Maintain a premium presentation of the brand: logos use, signage, and other POS materials.
  • Monitor Zero’s presence on Social Media (Facebook) and propose posts of regional interest.
  • Occasional check of translations received from agencies.
  • Participate at events/shows.

Skills and Attributes

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar job within the motorcycle industry.
  • (C2 level) in German, English and preferably other European languages.
  • Excellent sales and marketing skills.
  • Highly pro-active.
  • Service minded.
  • Able to devise, maintain and execute (sales & marketing) strategies for the German region under their scope.
  • Multi-tasking ability, scheduling, time and project management skills.
  • Stakeholder management skills: recognise, define, and manage your stakeholders.
  • Change management skills: able to lead all your stakeholders through change.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Organised, superior attention to detail.
  • Diligent, reliable and tenacious.
  • Physically able to travel for at least 75% of your work time and approximately 20 weekends per year.
  • Driver licenses for all power of motorcycles and cars.
  • Able to deal with sales pressure.
  • Stress resistant.
  • No 9-5 mentality.
  • Passion for motorcycling and electric products.
  • Social.
