The Surgical Department at Erlangen University Hospital, with its clinics and divisions (General, Visceral, Cardiac, Trauma, Plastic, Hand, Vascular, Thoracic, Urology, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery), offers fascinating insights into the complex world of modern surgery. Responsibilities

• Ensure the best possible pre‑ and postoperative care for patients in accordance with nursing standards.
• Work cooperatively and supportively within the therapeutic team.
• Use the electronic patient record for performance tracking and documentation, actively supporting the development of quality care.
• Actively participate in the practical training of various healthcare professions and impart knowledge and skills.
• Assess individual care needs and design the care process accordingly, focusing on the resources of patients.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed training as a health and nursing care professional (m/f/d).
• Personal, social, and professional competence with a sense of responsibility and willingness to cooperate with other professional groups.
• Flexibility, commitment and interest in regular, job‑specific training.
• Innovative thinking and action, as well as a reflective professional self‑image.
