Organizational context: UN Women, a UN entity dedicated to gender equality and women's empowerment, operates globally. The Strategy, Planning, Results, and Effectiveness Division (SPRED) manages corporate strategy, planning, and performance. Within SPRED, the Corporate Performance and Accountability Unit (CPAU) focuses on risk management, policy, and business transformation to enhance accountability and efficiency across the organization.
Job purpose: The Research and Coordination Analyst - Business Transformation contributes to UN Women's business transformation initiatives and the development of its Strategic Plan. This role involves conducting research, developing analysis products, and implementing components of the transformation plan. The analyst will provide substantive inputs to the organization's strategy, particularly concerning efficiency and effectiveness, and work collaboratively across UN Women to ensure these ambitions are realized, aligning with the Strategic Plan .
Responsibilities: Contribute technically to business transformation and Strategic Plan development by preparing documents, liaising with focal points, organizing meetings, and analyzing papers. Provide analytical support to internal bodies on business transformation and Strategic Plan implementation, managing information and developing knowledge products. Offer technical assistance for corporate oversight of organizational design, including country, regional, and headquarters typologies, by collecting and analyzing data and supporting review processes. Assist in strengthening field and HQ architecture through business transformation engagements, coordinating with clients, and facilitating sessions. Provide inputs for pivot-to-field efforts and the development of the upcoming Strategic Plan and Integrated Budget through data analysis and the implementation of transformation initiatives.
Education: A Master's degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, gender studies, international development, or a related field is required. A first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted.
Work experience: Requires at least two years of progressive work experience in coordinating processes/projects, data management, and reviewing/analyzing documents. Experience in business transformation is mandatory. Experience in liaising and coordinating with multiple offices is desirable.
