Research Assistant at the Chair of Digital Security (m/f/d)

The Chair of Digital Security (Professor Hans P. Reiser) at the University of Passau invites applications for the position of Research Assistant. This is a full‑time position, to start at the earliest convenience, based on a limited‑term contract valid for a period of three years, with the option of renewal.

Your responsibilities

• Independent work on a research topic in cybersecurity with the goal of pursuing a PhD
• Contribution to research projects in cybersecurity / digital security, in particular digital forensics, intrusion detection, attack analysis, monitoring (VMI, eBPF), and intrusion tolerance (BFT algorithms)
• Contribution to publications, project proposals, and scientific exchange (conferences, workshops)
• Plan, administer and deliver classes of a total of 5 hours per week
• Maintenance and further development of research prototypes as
