Marx- is offering following position Operational area: Department of Cardiology, Angiology, and Internal Medicine Intensive Care (Medical Clinic I) -experimental Cardiology - research group AG Möllmann/Prof. N. Marx Working hours: 65% (25,03 hours/week) of the full working hours in the collective agreement (currently 38.5 hours/week) Duration/Term of employment : the position is limited till in accordance with the WissZeitVG (German Academic Fixed-Term Contract Act) with option of prolongation. The successful applicant will be encouraged and supported to achieve a doctoral degree. Start date: as soon as possible Remuneration/Rates : EG 13 (TV-L)
Our research group comprises basic scientists and practising cardiologists, facilitating the integration of basic and clinical research. Our research aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying various cardiac disease models and to investigate the roles of incretin hormones (GLP-1 and GIP), as well as SGLT2 inhibitors. We also investigate the development of cross-organ processes (organ crosstalk) in multimorbidities such as diabetes and kidney disease, and in cardiovascular diseases. Our research encompasses cell culture studies and studies in mice. We are always focused on the potential translation of new research findings into clinical practice, particularly with regard to improving therapeutic interventions for patients.
